Boxly is a research and comparison platform that helps you find and compare moving companies. We are not a moving company. We do not perform moves, handle bookings, or guarantee the services of any listed company. Always verify information directly with movers before hiring.

Welcome to Boxly! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Boxly website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using Boxly, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Boxly

  • Boxly is a research and comparison platform that aggregates publicly available information about moving companies across Canada.
  • We are not a moving company. We do not perform moves, employ movers, or provide moving services.
  • We facilitate connections between consumers and moving companies but are not a party to any agreements or transactions between them.
  • Our services include displaying mover information, comparison tools, quote estimates, and contact facilitation.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Boxly.
  • By using the Platform, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

3. Information Accuracy & Disclaimers

Data Sources

Information on Boxly is aggregated from publicly available sources including Google Reviews, Better Business Bureau (BBB) listings, company websites, and public directories. We do not independently verify this information and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

AI-Generated Content

Boxly uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create review summaries, identify review themes, and enhance business descriptions. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors. Review summaries are not verbatim reproductions of original reviews but rather AI-interpreted summaries. Always verify important information directly with the moving company.

Pricing Estimates

Price estimates on Boxly are for informational purposes only, based on publicly available pricing information or typical industry ranges. Actual prices may differ significantly. Always obtain a written quote directly from the moving company before making any decisions.

  • Information may be outdated, as it is refreshed periodically rather than in real-time.
  • Ratings and reviews reflect third-party opinions, not Boxly's endorsement.
  • BBB ratings and accreditation status are sourced from the BBB and may change without notice.

4. No Endorsement or Warranty

Boxly does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any moving company listed on the Platform. The presence of a listing does not constitute a recommendation. “Verified” or “Featured” badges indicate that a business has claimed their profile or purchased premium placement, not that Boxly has verified their service quality, licensing, or insurance status.

  • You are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting any moving company.
  • Always verify licenses, insurance, references, and credentials before hiring any mover.
  • Boxly has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of services provided by listed moving companies.

5. Business Listings & Claimed Profiles

Unclaimed Listings

Boxly creates listings for moving companies based on publicly available information. These listings are provided as a service to consumers. Business owners who believe their information is inaccurate or who wish to manage their listing may claim their profile or contact us at info@boxly.ca.

Claimed Profiles

Business owners who claim their profile agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current business information
  • Take responsibility for all information they add or update
  • Notify Boxly of any changes to their business status or contact information
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Correction & Removal Requests

Business owners may request corrections to inaccurate information or removal of their listing by contacting us at info@boxly.ca. We will respond to legitimate requests promptly and in good faith. We reserve the right to retain listings based on publicly available information for the benefit of consumers.

6. User Responsibilities

When using Boxly, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when submitting quote requests or creating accounts
  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes related to researching or comparing moving services
  • Not attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform content without permission
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Not impersonate any person or business
  • Not interfere with the Platform's operation or security
  • Independently verify any information before relying on it

7. Limitation of Liability

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOXLY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

  • Boxly is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
  • Boxly is not liable for any acts, omissions, or conduct of any moving company or third party.
  • Boxly is not liable for any inaccuracies in information displayed, including AI-generated content.
  • Boxly's total liability for any claim shall not exceed CAD $100 or the amount you paid to Boxly in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Boxly and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any rights of another party, or (d) any dispute between you and any moving company.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Platform's design, features, and original content are owned by Boxly and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without permission.
  • Moving company information aggregated from public sources remains the property of its respective owners.
  • Google Reviews and BBB information are subject to their respective terms of service.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (including moving company websites). Boxly is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes between you and a moving company must be resolved directly with that company. Boxly is not a party to such disputes.
  • Disputes regarding these Terms or the Platform will be governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
  • Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at info@boxly.ca.

12. Account Suspension & Termination

  • Boxly reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts or access at our sole discretion, without notice or liability.
  • You may discontinue use of the Platform at any time.
  • Business owners may request removal of their claimed profile by contacting us.

13. Changes to Terms

Boxly may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on the Platform with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
