This Privacy Policy explains how Boxly Inc. (“Boxly”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile app, and related services (the “Services”). Boxly complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti‑Spam Law (CASL), and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password.
  • Booking details: pickup and drop-off addresses, item photos, processed information from item photos (such as recognized items or inventory lists), service requests, scheduled day and time of move, and other clarifications you provide about the move.
  • Communications: messages and information you provide in chats related to your orders, including communications with support and with our Partners through the platform.
  • Payment information: billing details (processed securely by third-party providers; Boxly does not store full payment card data).
  • Partner information: for movers, packers, and contractors - licenses, insurance certificates, tax details.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, app usage, cookies.
  • Other information you choose to provide: feedback, survey responses, or additional notes regarding your bookings.

5. Data Retention

  • We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide Services, comply with legal requirements, or resolve disputes.
  • With your explicit consent (for example, by opting in during registration), we may retain and use your contact information for marketing communications, promotions, and updates until you withdraw such consent.
  • When information is no longer needed, or when consent is withdrawn, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you (we aim to respond within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA).
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent to specific uses of your data (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).
  • Request deletion of your account and related data. You may delete your account at any time directly through your user profile, which will trigger automated deletion of associated data.
